Principle
activities – Product and Services.
Audioworks principle activities are installation and sales of Audio and
Audio Visual Equipment, into public buildings such as churches, schools
and local authorities. Our three main areas of specialty are the
installation church sound systems, Audio Visual equipment including
projectors and the installation of induction loop systems. As a
business, one of our unique selling points is to offer, not only sales
of key audio and audiovisual products, but full installation and after
sales care. Installations come with full warranties on equipment
supplied and fitted.

Company
History.
Audioworks began back in 1996 as a sole trader business, run then, by
the now Managing Director Martin Hodgson. The business developed from
Martins keen personal interest in music which developed into an interest
in the Audio industry. By 1998 Martin was employing an assistant sound
engineer and working, almost exclusively, in the church sector. By 2001
the business had been converted into a partnership with Michelle
Hodgson, who managed the administration of the business. As the business
grew it began to outgrow it’s surroundings and in 2004 the business
moved to a commercial unit located in Bentham. Shortly after that
Audioworks became a Limited company, Audioworks (North West) Ltd. We now
employee 5 full time and 2 part time staff and are looking to continue
to grow as a business. We also support work experience schemes run by
local schools. |

Trading
Location and Premises.
In May 2004 Audioworks moved Bentham Business Park. The location of the
business in Bentham has proved ideal to facilitate customers in 3
counties. The immediate trading regions are Yorkshire, Lancashire and
Cumbria. Geographically the business is also suitable to service markets
a little further a field in Manchester and even to the north, up to the
Borders.

Health and
Safety Policy.
As a company we believe that the welfare of our staff is a major
priority and therefore implement a managed system for Health and safety
at work. We work predominantly on site and have a full health and safety
method state that is carried with the installation engineers at all
times. In line with current legislation we operate within the law when
working at high level and implement regular training in the use of
ladders and scaffold equipment. Our main installer has PASMA
certification for working with scaffold towers. We also have engineers
who are competent in portable appliance testing and 16th ED wiring
regulations. |
